Dynamic Swim Lessons Policies

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to your lesson each day. We start and end lessons right on time and late arrivals won’t get their full 20 minutes.

When you arrive for your lesson, come straight through the gate into the backyard. We’ll have chairs and tables (and waiver forms) ready for parents as well as an area for kids to dry off after their lessons.

Goggles for kids are welcome, but please don’t bring toys, life jackets/floaties, or nose plugs for the kids. Part of our lessons is teaching children to be independent in the water without these items.

Parents, feel free to come watch lessons and bring other children to watch, but please don’t let children touch the playground or trampoline. We don’t want to damage the pool owner’s property.

We need at least 2 weeks’ notice for cancellations, and for every cancellation there will be a $20 cancellation fee. Once we are within the 2 weeks we can no longer accept cancellations, but you are welcome to let another child come for the lessons!

Our lessons are 20 minutes long because that’s long enough for a productive lesson, but much longer than that and the child will get tired and won’t be able to focus. Because of this, please only sign your child up for one session per week. Feel free to sign your child up for multiple weeks in a row; this additional time in the pool will help them get that much more comfortable in the water. 

Crying is very normal for younger students and our teachers are patient and kind. More often than not, children will get more comfortable being in the water as the week progresses. One of the most rewarding experiences as a teacher is to see the progress of a child who starts out afraid but is having fun by the end of the week!

If you want your child to learn a certain skill that we don't normally teach (treading water, sidestroke) feel free to ask our teachers to teach it! We have a flexible lesson plan that allows our teachers to meet students at their level.
