Dynamic Swim Lessons - About
Students sign up week by week and get five 20 minute lessons, one lesson each day Monday-Friday. Our teaching season is 3 weeks long, beginning June 2nd and ending on June 20th. Our pools are located in West Kaysville near Angel St. Park and are both heated.
So what does this swimming experience look like?
Parents will arrive at the pool with their child at the appointed time slot on Monday and will have an instructor assigned to their child. Parents may then watch as the instructor does basic skills testing (Hold breath under water, backfloat, freestyle, etc.) and begins the lesson.
The basic plan includes having each beginning swimmer start off putting their face under water. This gets the child's hair wet and solidifies holding their breath underwater.
From here, the child will practice backfloat with the teacher helping them balance until they can do it on their own. The child will work up to swimming to the wall in their backfloat and eventually will jump into the water and swim to the wall by themself.
This is an important survival skill for kids to learn. If a child falls into the pool, they will know how to get into their backfloat by themself so they don't drown. From there, they'll be able to swim to the wall and get out.
Sign-ups are now open!
The cost is $75 per child. Please pay when you sign up to secure your spot.
